2024: week 11.

monday, march 11.

Honestly, it always takes days to get used to the time change. I don’t know why. I went to bed early on Sunday night and I went to bed early on this night.

Also, as I prep this post to publish it, I’m realizing the time changed only a week ago and it feels like it’s been a month. So, that’s how this week has been.

tuesday, march 12.

I am obsessed with these white trees — and with the fact that trees aren’t quite getting leaves yet, but these ones have bloomed like it’s a promise: Spring. Is. Coming.

Also obsessed with the high of 70 and sunny weather. Yes and amen.

I took a walk in the middle of the day and thoroughly enjoyed it.

wednesday, march 13.

Honestly, this day at work was a bit rough. But I made it through. And then I went to the chiropractor and ran some errands, like a typical Wednesday.

thursday, march 14.

Another day. Another walk. Another picture of a flowering tree.

When I took a walk on Tuesday, these two trees a couple houses down from mine barely had any flowers on them. Two days later, they’re in full bloom. !!

friday, march 15.

Here is my “Look, I got my hair cut” selfie. Because I got my hair cut this day.

I also had a super fun work (outside of my regular job) call. I’m doing some freelance copywriting for a project that’s pretty similar to what I typically do but in a different industry, and it feels nice to mix it up a little, you know?

saturday, march 16.

On my walk on this day, I kept noticing the trees with flower buds and tiny blooms. Honestly, it felt like God was pointing these out to me because I kept looking past them to the full blooms. But they’re blooming too — just on a different timeline.

sunday, march 17.

While flipping through my Bible, this bookmark slid out. I came across this quote years ago, and it felt like a timely reminder about the relationship between what I see and what I know — that it requires an active choice to let what I know dictate what I see.
