2024: week 47.
monday, november 18.
I didn’t take a picture of the sunset but it was equally as beautiful as the sunrise, which you can kind of see here if you squint your eyes as you look at that photo.
Last week, my roommate Lani and I prayed together in our kitchen and asked God for specific things we wanted to see “this week.” I realized as we started a new week that we both got more than what we asked for last week. !! God is so good and kind.
tuesday, november 19.
It’s only when I park past Switchyards and have to walk back that I walk past this tree, and I just can’t not take a photo of it.
wednesday, november 20.
I had a follow-up appointment at the chiropractor this day. This tiny office has quite a vibe with this educational throw pillow. It’s like, cozy but let’s not forget why we’re here.
I’ve been going so long, and my chiropractors are my friends. So basically this meeting is one part looking at my spine and four parts catching up on each other’s lives. This time, she was telling me about how her niece got into college and wants to become a chiropractor. And I thought about how nice it is when people can name what they want to do and there are clear action steps to take. I’ve always been the kind of person who kind of has an idea and also kind of has no idea. You know?
thursday, november 21.
I don’t really remember what I did this day and I don’t have any photos to show for it. But Thursday emails are back, so at least there’s that.
friday, november 22.
I got my hair cut on this day and here is what it looks like, except this photo is from almost a week later as I catch up (and back date) this post. We trimmed it a little because I didn’t like the way it was laying/styling/everything, but we mostly kept the length — which is still very short, even though it feels long to me.
“We” meaning me and my hair girl, also named Sarah.
saturday, november 23.
THIS. SUNSET.
Our house barely has any windows and the sun sets in the back, so unless i happen to be passing the back window at the right time, I almost always miss the sunset. Plus, our garage is back there, so it’s like partial visibility. But the colors this night! Even with the limited view, it was so beautiful.
I went to a friendsgiving this day.
When I went to Tulsa last week, I kept snapping photos of things — not necessarily “for the blog” or for anything, really. But I would say, “This is my ‘I was here’ photo.” And that’s exactly what this photo is. I was here. At this friendsgiving. At what we kept calling “the kid table.” With the pine cones.
sunday, november 24.
It just looks bright out there, but the sky was actually a bright pink/orange on this morning.
I served at church, went to a coffee pop-up at my friends’ house, and pretty much spent the rest of my day on the phone catching up with different family members.
