2024: week 39.
monday, september 23.
officially fall.
i went grocery shopping on this day instead of my normal day (wednesday) because i had a work retreat this week. as i was stopped at a red light, i looked out my window and was almost surprised to see how brilliant the sky looked!
tuesday, september 24.
nothing notable happened this day. i didn’t feel good, so i did as few things as possible. i was in bed by 8 pm.
wednesday, september 25.
i stole this shot from one of my coworkers because i forgot to take one when it was still light out. our team stayed at the manor at dark horse recording studio in franklin, which i had not heard of before, but look at that place! a lot of famous musicians have stayed there and recorded albums. i didn’t stay there because i live here and drove in for our sessions, but this is where we had our workshops on this day, so i got to see it.
the place was massive. it had so many records on the walls. so many famous names. so many rooms that were like apartments, with their own kitchens. it was wild. but the only photo i took of the whole place was of this room where there were two walls of bookshelves (with so few books on them) with a ladder like in beauty and the beast. i want one of these in my future house.
thursday, september 26.
our workshops were at the factory this day.
i took this from the bathroom stall where there was so much natural light — a small glimpse of the vibe of the coworking space we were in.
i have no photos to document this dinner, but we had our last group dinner (lani, jess, caleb, and i) before jess moves out next week.
friday, september 27.
i didn’t go to the last, quick morning session my team had because “i would spend more time driving than in the session,” according to my ceo. which was kind of nice because being out all day for two days did nothing to help my body recover from being sick. so i stayed home, didn’t set an alarm, got a few work tasks done, and mostly watched tv and rested.
jess pulled out all her cards, and she and caleb basically spent all night organizing her pep talk inventory. aka the card subscription i have that prompts all the “you always find the cutest cards!” comments. i don’t. jess does.
saturday, september 28.
i tried to keep it pretty chill this day so my body could rest/recover/get back to 100%. i spent a good chunk of time flipping between this docuseries on moses and the chapters of exodus, where the story of moses is told.
sunday, september 29.
it’s like inception: a photo of me working on this post.
i babysat/sat on someone else’s couch this night and had a very productive two hours.
