2024: week 25.
monday, june 17.
The sky looked cool, but I was driving so this is the photo I got.
Also. My friend Sarah and I had a write night this night. We went to a coffee shop after I got out of work and we wrote.
I told her recently that I had set a deadline for myself to get this book written and also that I have a hard time like, sitting in the chair long enough to actually write the thing. She responded by saying we should have a writing day, and before we parted ways that day, she had me pull out my calendar and put a date on.
I’m so grateful for her because she is the only reason I showed up, stayed in the chair, and did some pretty good writing.
tuesday, june 18.
This day was my last day of work for the week and the day before I left for vacation, so it was a lot of wrapping things up, packing, etc.
wednesday, june 19.
This trip’s going to get its own post. But I drove to the beach with my roommates. We left at 6am and arrived at 1:30ish. This was the first picture I took when I got there. I’m obsessed with all the white.
thursday, june 20.
Obsessed with the color and clarity of this ocean water.
This day was the longest day of the year, and we celebrated by walking on the beach after dinner.
friday, june 21.
Again. But look at that clear blue sky! Wednesday and Thursday were pretty overcast, and it rained a good bit on Thursday. So a clear blue sky on Friday was a dream.
saturday, june 22.
I could live here.
sunday, june 23.
We came home this day. This is the photo I snapped on the way out, through the car window, because I loved this spot and it was the last place we stopped before leaving.
Otherwise, it was a day of sitting in the car, stopping at gas stations with surprising(ly good and bad) bathrooms, and unpacking.
