2024: week 22.

monday, may 27.

Memorial Day.

In case you forgot, I stayed at my friend SJ’s house this weekend.

It was so nice out all day! We maximized our pool weather time by reading a magazine in the lounge chair (me) and juicing limes while in the pool (SJ).

tuesday, may 28.

I had a spontaneous 5-hour long collaborative work call this day. I work remotely, so we were basically all in the same (Zoom) room as we worked on a project from start to finish.

Then I went to church.

Guess which part was the better part of my day.

wednesday, may 29.

You know what Whole Foods had this week? Peonies. So, obviously, here they are.

I also went to prayer this night, and the sunset was beautiful as we walked out after. I didn’t take any pictures of it, but I did interrupt myself in a conversation multiple times to gush over how beautiful it was.

thursday, may 30.

My roommate Jess got engaged (!!) over the weekend. You would think that I would’ve thought to take a photo with her and the ring (and also maybe her fiancé) at their engagement party, but I did not. So here are our faces.

friday, may 31.

Every couple of months, some friends and I get together to hang out, drink wine, and catch up. Honestly, it started because we all realized at the same time that we all like wine, and we just decided we should do that together. It’s been neat because we only get together every couple of months, which means enough time passes between hangs that we’re sharing about what God has done, not just what He is doing.

saturday, june 1.

This day ended up not going as originally planned, which was fine, but it meant that it was super chill and I don’t have a lot to report except that I highly recommend “Unfrosted” on Netflix — a story about Kellogg’s creating the pop tart. The actors, the outfits, the storytelling — it was so much fun to watch.

sunday, june 2.

I served on socials this morning at church, which I haven’t done in a while. Serving on the social media team means sitting in service — because you can’t share about what God is doing in the room if you’re not in the room. During the 11A service, I worshipped in the back corner like I used to. Worshipping in the front is less distracting because no one is walking in front of you, but there is something about this back corner of the room. The presence of God is so extra there. And I don’t think it’s a coincidence that it’s the back section where moms and dads with babies and strollers tend to be.
