2024: week 21.
monday, may 20.
While shopping for groceries, I checked the magazine rack by the register to see if they had any Magnolia Journals.
They did not.
When I got home, I noticed I’d received this in the mail. A free copy!
Last year, I let my subscription run out and they’ve been trying to get me back ever since. Apparently sending a full magazine is part of their tactic.
TBD if it worked.
tuesday, may 21.
Okay, so I kind of forgot (and kept forgetting) about this post because of Memorial Day. Looking back, here are the notes I left myself about this day: Did some spontaneous writing in the morning. Ate tacos. Went to church.
I don’t know. That pretty much sums it up, I guess. Solid Tuesday.
wednesday, may 22.
My roommate’s boyfriend (now fiancé !!) came to pick her up for the airport, and he brought her flowers. Which was so sweet except she was about to fly out of town, so the joke became that they were actually my flowers — because I was going to be the only one home to see them.
thursday, may 23.
I drove all the way down to Spring Hill (which is like 40 minutes south of where I live) for a discipleship group and it was way more sunny down there!
friday, may 24.
Honestly, I binge-watched the entire “All The Light We Cannot See” series this night and that’s it. There are no photos.
saturday, may 25.
I went to SJ’s for a Memorial Day (weekend) party, and then stayed over at her house after (all weekend).
sunday, may 26.
The weather this day was another one of those, TBD days. There were storms rolling through that had the potential to be severe but no one could really say when they’d come, if they’d come, or how severe they would actually be.
We started the day outside, sitting under a sky full of clouds, until the storm came. Then we went inside and put on a movie. And when the storm passed, the sky cleared and it was so sunny! So we paused the movie and went back out.
Great day.
