2024: week 19.

monday, may 6.

I went for a walk with my friend Amber. On our way back, it started raining a little bit. Then a lot. We were almost back, but we got soaked. Rain was dripping off my face and getting in my eyes, and it was kind of amazing. 10/10 would do it again.

tuesday, may 7.

church. hang with sj. what else?

wednesday, may 8.

We had tornado watches all day. Severe thunderstorms. Flood warnings. It was on and off all day and into the night.

I snapped this photo around 5pm. The sky was so dark. Thankfully, nothing major happened where I live.

thursday, may 9.

After days of rain and basically 24 hours of weather watches/warnings, it was so nice to see sunny, blue skies.

friday, may 10.

On Friday night, I made tacos and watched a movie and missed seeing the Northern Lights that were probably visible from my front yard by like an hour. Upon further research, I saw that news articles had been posted that said we might be able to see it in Nashville over the weekend, but I don’t read the news. So.

The tacos were delicious.

saturday, may 11.

I did some writing from Crema on this day and treated myself to an “always gluten-free, always vegan” baked good from Morsel. When I saw they had the peanut butter chocolate chip donuts I’d seen photos of online, I literally gasped out loud and said, “Oh I need to get one of these.” The girl behind the counter laughed and told me they were, in fact, really good.

sunday, may 12.

I went to church on this day and I didn’t take any photos, but if I did, it would’ve been of these two 3-ish-year-old boys standing next to each other with noise-reduction headphones on, having their own dance/worship party in the aisle. Eventually, both boys reached for their mamas, who held them for the rest of worship. It was super sweet.

I called my mom after that and then did a bunch of Sunday things like laundry that don’t really make for exciting blog content, you know?
